After a long wait, the iQOO 9T has finally been launched in India. The handset will be the first smartphone in India to feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Powered with the most capable processor, the iQOO 9T also comes with a triple rear camera setup along with a 4700 mAh battery and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. Apart from this, the handset is also equipped with a vapor cooling chamber to dissipate the heat faster.

Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO, while talking about the new launch said, “With our flagship device, the iQOO 9T, we want our users to have access to the most advanced processor, innovative mobile technologies, and high-performance features that are available today.” Adding further he said, “With the overwhelming response that we received from our customers on the iQOO 9 Series that was launched earlier this year, we are confident that our latest product will continue to add more feathers to our legacy of offering a premium flagship experience.”

iQOO 9T Specifications

As aforementioned, the iQOO 9T is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The phone flaunts a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display offers 1,500 nits of peak brightness, which is very useful if you use your phone outdoors most of the time. In terms of storage, the handset comes in two variants of 8GB and 12GB RAM. The storage options include 128 GB and 256 GB variants. Under the hood, the iQOO 9T runs Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.

For optics, the newly-launched phone sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor with OIS support. The other two camera sensors include a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor. On the front, there is a 16 MP shooter for taking selfies and video calling. As aforesaid, the handset comes with a 4700 mAh battery with support for 120 Watt fast charging.

Gaming Features and More

For gaming, the iQOO 9T includes Vivo’s in-house V1+ imaging chip to enhance the gaming experience. This chip also enhances low-light photography, especially useful in low-light conditions during night parties. Apart from this, the smartphone boasts a liquid cooling chamber with a total heat dissipation area of 3,930 square mm to efficiently cool the device during heavy gaming. The 120W fast charging support in the iQOO 9T is claimed to refill the battery in just about 20 minutes.

Pricing and Availability

In terms of price, the iQOO 9T with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage carries a price tag of Rs 49,999. The higher storage variant of 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs 54,999. However, like always, the iQOO 9T sale comes with bank offers to offer heavy discounts when purchasing online. The phone comes with the ICICI Bank offer that gives a discount of flat Rs 4000 on both storage variants. So users with an ICICI Bank card can grab the 8GB variant for Rs 45,999 and the 12GB variant for Rs 50,999 only. It should be noted that the offer is only valid on ICICI Bank cards.

The device will go on its first sale on Amazon on August 4 at 12 pm. The smartphone is available in two color options – the Legend and the Alpha. You can purchase the phone from the iQOO Store as well.
